About Dr. Koch
R. James Koch, MD, is a Stanford-trained, Fellowship-trained, Double Board-Certified facial surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He is the founder of Koch Facial Plastic Surgery, located in San Mateo, California.
Dr. Koch completed his specialty training with a fellowship in Advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Stanford University, where his achievements earned him an appointment to the full-time faculty. At Stanford University School of Medicine, he held the positions of Associate Professor, Director of the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery, Director of the Fellowship for Advanced Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Director of the Wound Healing Laboratory.
Dr. Koch is a renowned expert in minimally invasive procedures such as the in-office facelift, eyelift, and laser procedures. He has trained the most physicians in the in-office facelift in the country. He also has special expertise in necklift, browlift, neck liposuction with skin tightening, scar revision, rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), and rhinoplasty revisions.
